MACINNES – RODGER – On December 2, 1971 at the SP Church, High Street, Oban by the late Rev. Malcolm MacSween, Malcolm to Sheena, now residing in Lenzie.

BUCHANAN-SMITH – Sheena, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at her home in Argyll. Beloved wife of Robin (passed away in 2005), much loved mother of Beppo and Chay. Following her wishes the funeral service will be held in private.

CONDIE – Peacefully at home in Alyth on Friday, November 26, 2021, Minnie (MacMaster), formerly of Victoria Road, Fort William, loving mother of Margaret and mother-in-law of Allan, devoted granny and great-granny (GG) and a good friend to many. Funeral service in Perth Crematorium on Friday, December 10 at 2 p.m. to which all family and friends are welcome.

GILLESPIE – Moira, very peacefully at home in her 34th year on Thursday, November 25, 2021 following a long illness borne with great courage, determination and stoicism. Wonderful daughter of Kirsteen and the late John Gillespie, beloved sister of Alasdair and Rhona, loving sister-in-law to Chris, special auntie to Callum and Logan. Good friend to many. Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday December 2, 2021 at 12 midday at Oban Parish Church, thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery to which all are respectfully invited. Very sorely missed.

GORE – Charles John died peacefully on November 23, 2021, beloved husband of Jean for 60 years, father of Helena, Simon and John and grandfather of Amelia, Sam, Milo and Marnie. Musician, writer and friend to many. Private family funeral. Memorial service in 2022.

LYNN – (Argyll and Aberdeen). The ashes of Alistair G Lynn CVO, CBE, QPM will be interred in Pennyfuir Cemetery Oban following a graveside service of committal at 1pm on Wednesday December 8, 2021. All friends are respectfully invited to attend. Alistair, a former Chief Constable of Scottish North Eastern Counties Constabulary and Grampian Police, passed away peacefully in Aberdeen on October 31 2021, shortly after his 95th birthday.

MACCOLL – Paul. Suddenly, but peacefully, at Forth Valley Hospital on November 16, Paul MacColl, aged 86. Dearly loved husband of Mary, a loving father and grandfather. Fortified by the Rites of Holy Church. R.I.P. Requiem Mass at Church of the Holy Family, Dunblane, at 10am on Tuesday, December 7. Thereafter to Dunblane Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, SCO50992.

OATTS – Bridget, of Glenmore, Kilmelford. Died peacefully on November 29, 2021. Wife of the late Patrick; mother of Alasdair, Fiona and Elizabeth; mother-in-law of Melissa, Alastair and Martyn; grandmother of Paul, Neil, Hamish, Tom, Lottie, Angus and Imogen. Much loved by all. Funeral service at Kilmelford Church Friday, December 10, 1.00pm, followed by interment at Kilninver Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations welcome, to be shared between Kilmelford Church and Village Hall.

CAMERON – Alan and family thank everyone for the many expressions of sympathy and support received after Val’s death. Special thanks to the doctors and staff of Mid Argyll Hospital, the Community Nursing Team, Ambulance staff and Argyll and Bute Social Care Team, all of whom have provided wonderful care for Val since 2018. Thank you Rev. Robert MacLeod for an uplifting service, Donald MacDonald Undertakers for their caring and professional services, Morna for beautiful flowers and Tayvallich Inn for welcome refreshment. Thank you to all who attended Val’s funeral service in Tayvallich Church and also at Carsaig Cemetery thereafter. Donations received in Val’s memory have amounted to over £700 to be split between the MS Centre, Lochgilphead and Glenaray Ward
