Breach of bail

At 12.15 pm on Sunday November 14 at Skerryvore Gardens, Oban, it is alleged a man, aged 27, breached his bail conditions set by Oban Sheriff Court by contacting a woman. The man was subsequently charged with the offence and kept in custody to appear at Oban Sheriff Court.

Air weapons

On Tuesday November 16, at an address in Catalina Avenue, Oban, police carried out a search of a property and recovered an air weapon that allegedly did not have the required certification. A man, aged 27, was charged with the offence and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Vandalism

Between Saturday November 13 and Sunday November 14 at Ellenabeich car park, Isle of Seil, it is alleged a parked car was vandalised. Enquiries continue and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact 101 or through Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Theft

A man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for allegedly stealing a purse from the Oban Inn, Stafford Street, at 00.30am on Monday November 15.

Threatening or Abusive Behaviour/Communications Act Offence

At 6pm on Thursday November 18 at an address in Soroba Road, Oban, it is alleged a man acted in a threatening or abusive manner towards a woman. A man, aged 70, was arrested and charged with threatening or abusive behaviour and a communications offence and released on an undertaking to appear at Oban Sheriff Court.

Attempted theft

Between 11 am on Monday November 15 and 11am on Tuesday November 16, at Westbay Apartments, Corran Esplanade, Oban, it is alleged a cupboard in a common close was damaged in an attempt to gain entry and steal items. Enquiries continue and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Threatening or Abusive Behaviour/Police Assault/Resist Arrest

At 2.45 pm on Friday November 19, at Oban Police Station, a man, aged 31, acted in a threatening and abusive manner, assaulted police officers and resisted arrest. He was arrested and charged and kept in court to appear at Oban Sheriff Court.

Drink driving

Police stopped a car on the A839 at Bunessan, Mull, and the driver, a man, aged 49, failed a road side breath test. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and released on an undertaking to appear at Oban Sheriff Court.
