BIRTHS
ELLIOTT – The family are delighted to announce the birth of Angus Shaun Elliott at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. A first child for Lisa MacInnes and Callum Elliott, Tarbert. A first grandchild for Mary and Kenny MacInnes, Tarbert and Jane Elliott, Tarbert. We would like to thank the midwives in Argyll and at the RAH, Paisley for all their help.

ROBERTSON – On September 29, 2021, to Lotti (née Mellor) and Jamie, a daughter, Evie Rose. A sister to Alfie and Beaudi.

DEATHS
BROWNE – (Hay), Moira, Crieff. Very peacefully at Ruthven Towers Care Home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, Moira Ann, dearly loved and loving wife of, and reunited now with, the late Capt. Cameron Browne, cherished and loved mother of Elaine, Christopher and Sinclair and grandmother of Natasha and Iona.

CALLANDER – Peacefully at home on November 4, 2021 in his 91st year, William Callander, beloved husband of Lily. A dear father to David and wife Catherine, stepson George and wife Gabriella and much loved grandfather to Fergus and Ewan. Sadly missed.

HESKETH – John, Barrie MBE, April 11, 1930 to October 19, 2021. Dearly loved husband of Philippa and of his late wife Marianne. Father of Richard, Nick and Jim. Grandfather of Gary, Jenny, Nathan, Maddy, Alex, Maisie and Logan. Great-grandfather of Milo, Beth and Ian. Flowers if wished or donations to Parkinson’s UK or Bickham House Care Home via www.memorygiving.com/johnbarrieheskethmbe. Funeral to take place at 11.30am on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Calgary Cemetery, Isle of Mull.

LYNN – (Argyll and Aberdeen). Alistair G Lynn CVO CBE QPM, dearly loved and loving husband of the late Chrissie (née MacNaughton) and sometime Chief Constable of The Scottish North-Eastern Counties Constabulary and Grampian Police, died peacefully on October 31, 2021, aged 95 years, in the warm, loving and dedicated care of staff at Victoria Grange, Dyce. Dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Now resting at the premises of Eric P Massie, Funeral Directors, 41 High Street, Inverurie. A church service to celebrate Alistair’s life will be held in Dyce Parish Church, Victoria Street, Dyce at 11am on Friday, November 12, 2021, followed by a short committal service at Baldarroch Crematorium, Crathes, Aberdeenshire at 2.30pm on the same day. Family and friends are invited to attend either or both parts of Alistair’s funeral. No flowers, please, but wear a Remembrance Day poppy if you can. Alistair’s ashes will be interred beside Chrissie at Oban on a later date.

MACCORQUODALE –
Peacefully at home on November 3, 2021, age 90, Janet (Jill) MacCorquodale (Baillie), wife of the late Captain Dugald MacCorquodale, mother of Geraldine, sister of Maureen, aunt and great-aunt. Grateful thanks for help and support from all staff at Taynuilt Medical Practice, Jess MacDonald and family and friends. Private graveside service to be held at Ardchattan Churchyard on Thursday, November 18 at 1pm. Family flowers only please.

MARTIN – Hugh. Peacefully at home on Thursday, October 28, 2021 on the Isle of Seil, in the loving care of his family, Hugh, aged 97 years. Beloved husband of Rose, and the late Maureen. Loving father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. A celebration of Hugh’s life will take place at Mortonhall Crematorium Main Chapel, Edinburgh, on Friday, November 19 at 1.00 pm to which all family and friends are invited. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, in Hugh’s memory may be made to the RNLI, Oban Branch.
MOUAT – Very peacefully on November 1, 2021 at Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban, Bernie Mouat (née Devine) passed away. Mother to Duncan and Lawrence and the late Mary Mackenzie (née Mouat). Beloved mum, granny and great-granny.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
BRUCE – Alistair James. Lynne, Eilidh, Robert, Catriona, Shona, Jamie and families thank all who were with us for Ali’s funeral on November 2, 2021. We sincerely thank the Rev Richard Baxter for conducting a very comforting service and Pastor Ruari O’Brien for making East Mains Baptist Church, East Kilbride available for the funeral service. We are also grateful to Co-Operative Funeralcare, East Kilbride for their caring and dignified services throughout this sad and difficult time. Our heartfelt thanks to all who sent flowers, cards and who donated so generously to Crohn’s & Colitis UK at the Church and online in memory of Ali. Forever in our hearts.

MAIR – Valerie and family of the late James (Hamish) would like to thank relatives, friends and neighbours for their support and kindness to us following our sad loss. Heartfelt thanks to doctors, nurses and all the staff at Lorn Medical Centre, also to Carers Direct and all the carers for their kindness to Hamish and myself.
