Allegation of property damage

Between Sunday September 26 and Monday October 11, at an address in the Isle of Coll it is alleged that burning coals were placed next to a property causing damage to the external cladding.  Enquiries continue.

Charged

Between 10am and 11.30am on Thursday October 14 near to Rockfield Road, Tobermory, Isle of Mull, a motorist is alleged to have been driving dangerously and colliding with a moving vehicle.  A man, aged 63, has been charged with dangerous driving.  A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Assault

At 8.50pm on Thursday October 21 at Railway Pier, a man was reported for behaving in a threatening manner towards members of the public.  Police attended and the 38-year-old continued to act in an aggressive manner, allegedly assaulting a police officer. He was arrested and charged with the offence.  A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Threatening behaviour

At 5.25pm on Friday October 22 at Hope Kitchen, Soroba Road, Oban, a report was made to police in relation to two men fighting. Police attended and the men, aged 59 and 40 were both issued Recorded Police Warning.

Vandalism

At 1.30am on Thursday October 21 at Dunollie Road, Oban two men were involved in a disturbance causing fear and alarm to residents.  Damage was also caused to fencing at a private property at this time. Enquiries continue.

Drugs

At 8.05pm on Saturday October 23 within an Oban hotel, police had cause to stop and search a teenager.  The 19-year-old man was found to be in possession of a small quantity of herbal cannabis.  He was subsequently issued with a Recorded Police Warning.
