A paddleboard challenge to circumnavigate Loch Awe in two days has sold out with seven months to go.

Dalavich Social Club is hosting the Lochawesome Challenge, set to test even the strongest of paddlers.

The club is running a campsite and putting on an after party for those lucky enough to get one of the limited tickets and have a go from May 5 to May 8 next year.

Teams of no less than three or with a maximum of eight will take on the northern loop of the loch on the Friday covering 46kms and the shorter southern loop on Saturday, smashing the 29km stretch before having the Sunday to recover.

Although tickets have been snapped up, there is a waiting list.
