For three days during this autumn’s Highland Archaeology Festival, Glenfinnan Station Museum hosted a special exhibition in celebration of this year’s 120th anniversary of the opening of the Mallaig Railway in 1901.

The exhibition was based on the book ‘Building the Mallaig Railway’ published by the Museum last November, a copy of which is pictured being held by the station’s Hege Hernaes at the popular event. Photograph: Iain Ferguson, alba.photos
