Highland Liberal Democrats have chosen Craig Harrow to be their candidate for Ross, Skye & Lochaber at the next UK General Election.

Mr Harrow, who stood for the party in 2019, said that he can bring new hope to
the Highlands and stand up for communities who he claims have been ‘let down’ by the
SNP.

Speaking after his selection, he commented: ‘I am delighted that Lib Dem
members in Ross, Skye and Lochaber have chosen me as their candidate for the
next General Election.

‘The SNP have let the Highlands down with powers being taken away to
Edinburgh, and a local MP who seems to prefer grandstanding to standing up
for constituents.

‘It is time for a new deal for the Highlands with better local decision making,
extra investment in housing, eradicating fuel poverty and ensuring we are
focused on a green recovery.’

Joining Mr Harrow in Dingwall on Saturday,  Lib Democrat Leader Ed Davey MP said: ‘In choosing Craig to fight again for our cause in Ross, Skye and Lochaber, Highland Liberal Democrats have selected a dedicated campaigner of real compassion who puts the concerns of local communities at the heart of all that he does.

‘The people of Ross, Skye and Lochaber deserve an MP who will fight their
corner, work closely with others and focus fully on their needs.’
