Cumnock RFC left Glencruitten with a 32-13 victory under their belts, but the score did not reflect the game.

Scrummaging and line outs were a massive improvement on previous games, but some good ball carrying by the forwards and some great runs from the backs failed to convert into points for the home team.

Speaking after the game, head coach Corrie Lowe said he was not happy with the penalties that were conceded but the team need to take the positivity and determination they displayed onto the next game which is away to Helensburgh this Saturday, October 16, 3pm kick-off.

Man of the match: Lorne Maclachlan.

Ladies: Due to availability, the game against Loch Lomond was rescheduled with a date to be confirmed. Next game for the green army is away to Cartha Queens Park second XV this Sunday, 2pm kick-off.

UI13/14 boys played a Bulls v Sharks match on Thursday with the Sharks winning. S2 team managers Hamish MacIntyre and Donald MacCormick helped to run the teams and the game was fast flowing, despite the wet weather. Allan Wright was the official on the day. Lots of good rugby was on display and the match allowed valuable game time for new players.

Training is on Wednesday after school. New players welcome.
