It’s all over bar the shouting at Oban Bowling Club with the last of this year’s championship finals decided.

There was a reduced schedule this year as a result of Covid but the ties were hotly contested as always as members battled to get their names on the trophies.

Husband and wife Neil and Anne MacDougall both found themselves in the winning zone with the former picking up his second championship victory and the latter taking her fourth. The happy couple will now have the chance to represent the club at next year’s regional finals with a place at the National Championships in Ayr up for grabs.

Nominated Pairs winners will also receive the same opportunity.

Closing day this year will be on Saturday October 16 when a President v Vice President match will be played. The club’s annual general meeting will take place on Saturday December 4.
