Plants and home-grown garden produce for sale

Sue Greenwood wrote: ‘The clement weather meant that the gazebo was perfect in its dual role of shelter and display area for the stall’s signs.

‘Posters and photographs from bygone shows, as well as colourful Facebook cards and fresh flowers made the stall eye-catching.

‘A delightful vase of sweet peas came from plants grown and given to Jane and Steve Eccles by the late Alison McDougall.’

There was a wide selection of perennial plants and shrubs, including an indoor section, this season’s apples and courgettes, seeds, bulbs, and gardening books courtesy of Bookends.

‘Thanks go to everyone who contributed to the stall in any way. It was a quiet day with a gentle trickle of visitors and the sum of £85 was made for the show,’ added Sue.
