Strathglass Shinty Club unveiled their new first team strip sponsor’s Douglas Timber Harvesting and West Fraser at their home game on Saturday, September 11.

Team in their new strips

The sponsorship deal will see Strathglass wearing maroon and blue hooped strips for the first time in their 142 year history through to the end of the 2024 season.

Speaking about the deal, senior team’s manager Allan MacLeod said: ‘We are delighted to have the support of Douglas Timber Harvesting and West Fraser for our first team strips. Bruce Douglas has a long association with Strathglass as a player, manager and supporter and we are very grateful that he has now come on board as a sponsor. Further to this gaining sponsorship from international wood production company West Fraser is a great boost for our club and we look forward to working with both sponsors in the years to come.’

The strips also have the Mikeysline logo on the sleeve. The mental health charitywas set up in 2015 after a tragic number of deaths by suicide in the Highlands. You can find more information on the website, www.mikeysline.co.uk

Allan went on to say: ‘As a club we are pleased to be able to help raise the awareness of the charity Mikeysline and we recognise the importance of the work which they do.’
