Police Scotland has issued an update on yesterday’s A828 crash near Appin that shut the road for hours.

‘Around 3.40pm on Tuesday September 7 officers were called to a road crash on the A828, near Appin involving a Landrover Freelander and a Volkswagen Transporter.

‘The 66-year-old female driver of the Landrover was taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William, then later released.  The 49-year-old female driver of the VW was taken to QEUH in Glasgow.

‘A 66-year-old woman is subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences,’ a Police Scotland spokesperson said.
