DUFFY – Suddenly and doing what he loved, on August 15, 2021, aged 82 years, John Duffy, a dear brother, devoted uncle and passionate angler!
HORNE – Peacefully, at Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban on August 21, 2021, aged 76 years, Sandra Margaret Horne, a dear sister-in-law and aunt. Sandra will be sorely missed by all who know her. A funeral service will take place at St. John the Episcopal Cathedral, Oban on Monday, September 6, at 10.00 am. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, can be sent directly to The Oban Hospice, in memory of Sandra.
KENNEDY – John, loving husband of Rita, father of Stuart and John, and grandfather of Robyn, Elona and Angus, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021, surrounded by family. The funeral service will take place at Our Lady and St Mun’s Church, Dunoon (today) Thursday, September 2, at 11am. Donations can be made in memory of John to Alzheimer’s Scotland.
MACINTOSH – At home in Katikati, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand on August 23, 2021, Neil, a dear uncle, brother-in-law and cousin. Last surviving son of the late John and Sarah MacIntosh formerly of 7 Croft Avenue, Oban.
MACKINNON – Philip. Suddenly, with friends, on Sunday August 29, 2021. Much loved husband of Caroline (Johnston) and father of Cara and Michael. Sorely missed by many.
REFFIN – Margaret (Maggie), peacefully at Lorn and Islands Hospital on August 28, 2021, beloved wife of Joseph, much loved Mum of Donna and Allan and mother-in-law of George, a dear sister, aunt and friend. Will be sadly missed.
SINCLAIR – Peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 aged 77 years, Peter Alexander Sinclair. Beloved husband of Rosie, much loved dad, father-in-law, grampa and great-grampa, brother, uncle and friend to many. Will be sorely missed.
GRAHAM – Elaine and Fay would like to thank everyone for the cards, flowers, phone calls and messages on the loss of our beloved Mum, Mary. Thank you to family for spending time with Mum in her last days, thanks to Dawn and Aileen for just being you and for being there for us. Thanks to Catriona Banks (social work) for checking in on us and for everything you did for Mum. A big thank you to my lovely neighbours, especially Ann and Peter. Ian MacInnes your kindness and compassion knows no bounds. Thanks to Fr James for always being there and to Lynette from Petals for the beautiful flowers. The people that hold a very special place in our hearts are Oban and Taynuilt district nurses, Gaynor, Frances, Maree, Catherine and Pam for looking after Mum with such care as if she was their own. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Rest in Peace Mum, you are back with Dad again xxx
MACDONALD – Maureen would like to thank most sincerely relatives, friends and neighbours for all the cards, flowers, home baking and support in the sudden loss of her fiancé Colin. Thank you to the medical staff at the Belford Hospital, Father David Connor, Deacon Wynne, Kevin for the music, McDonald Brothers and Alastair and Sandra for the catering. To McLellan Funeral Directors whose support and guidance was a great help to Maureen. Also all who attended the service at St. Mary’s Church and cremation in Inverness.
