Hit and run
About 7pm on Friday August 27, on the A819, approximately two miles south of the A85, a dark coloured Volvo struck another vehicle causing both damage to the driver and car before leaving the scene. Police are appealing for anyone on the A819 or A85 who may have seen the incident, noted a dark vehicle with damage to it or who might have dash cam footage to come forward. Please call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 3462 of August 27.

Assault allegation
About 3.45pm on Wednesday August 25, on Quarry Road, Oban, a child was allegedly assaulted. Subsequently a teenager has been charged and referred for the Youth Intervention Process.

A 19-year-old male has been charged with assaulting another man on George Street, Oban, about 11.45pm on Saturday August 28. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Fencing stolen
Between 5pm on Tuesday August 24 and 10.30am on Wednesday August 25, Castle Road, Oban, unknown individuals have removed a quantity of timber fencing supplies.
Police are investigating and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Breach of Bail
About 6pm on Thursday August 26 in Benderloch, a 39-year-old man allegedly breached bail conditions imposed by the court by approaching a woman. Police arrested and charged the man who was held for court. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
