Dugald Macintyre, Head Boy of Ardnamurchan High School 2020/21, is this year’s recipient of the Lochaber Housing award for academic excellence.

Dugald, during his career at Ardnamurchan High School, achieved two Advanced Highers at A, seven Highers, six at A and all As in his National 5 qualifications.

Two of his Highers and his Advanced Highers, in addition to achieving the Performance unit for Advanced Higher Music, were achieved in S6 which included the challenging circumstances of lockdown.

Head teacher Christopher Millar-Craig said: ‘Congratulations to Dugald. We wish him every success in his chosen course at Edinburgh University in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science.’
