Young people are being encouraged to find out about the range of career options on offer in the land and forestry sector.

From planning and planting to harvesting and logistics, there’s a huge variety of roles on offer in this growing sector.

The team at DYW West Highland are now inviting young people and their parents or carers to come along to Grow Your Highland Career, their next online careers insight webinar which will showcase opportunities in the Land and Forestry industry.

If you are a school leaver, current pupil or recent graduate, the event is an excellent opportunity to find out what current jobs, apprenticeship and training schemes you could apply for.

You’ll hear directly from staff who work at NatureScot, Ardtornish Estate, UNESCO Biosphere and West Highland College at this online event which will take place on the September 1, 2-3pm.

Ask your questions through a LIVE Question and Answer session after the presentations. Teachers are also welcome to join the session, which will touch on key issues of sustainability and ‘green jobs’ in response to climate change.

If you are a young person who would like to find out more about growing your career in the Land and Forestry industry, then head to www.dywwesthighland.org today for more event information and to book your FREE ticket.
