Fundraising couple Fiona and Alan Patterson have reached their final destination and are heading home.

The pair, who live near Taynuilt, walked 1,040 miles from Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge to John O’Groats and back, raising awareness and money for leading men’s health charity Prostate Cancer UK.

They set off from Bristol on May 18 inspired by a friend who has the disease, setting their goal at £2,500 but so far have made £3,570 plus gift aid for the charity.
