It’s been a long time since Lochaber last played a game but they kick started their pre-season at Oban Lorne Rugby Football Club’s ‘Day of Rugby’ which replaced the usual Tower 10’s on Saturday.

First up, Lochaber had a tough game against Garnock, a great first hit out but going down 12-0. Next up they faced familiar opposition in Mull with only a brilliant piece of individual play from Callum Boyd seperating the sides after he collected his own chip and chase to score and the game finished 5-0.

In the final game, Lochaber played the hosts Oban. This was a tightly fought fixture but ultimately the defences won out as the game finished 0-0.

Lochaber now turn their sights to old rivalries this weekend when they host a combined Highland 2nd XV and 3rd XV at Banavie, 3pm kick off before hosting Moray the following weekend, kick off time to be confirmed.
