The sun came out for fundraising couple Fiona and Alan Patterson who have made it to John O’Groats, raising awareness and money for leading men’s health charity Prostate Cancer UK.

The couple, who live near Taynuilt, set off from Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge on May 18 and are now on their return journey, hoping to arrive back at the iconic finish line on August 10 after their 1,000 mile walk.

Fiona and Alan’s mission has been inspired by a friend who has the disease. They set their goal at £2,500 but it has now exceeded the £3,000 mark.
