The MacDougall of Dunollie Preservation Trust has welcomed three new members of staff.

Emma Sutcliffe is the new general manager at Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds, Jamie MacGregor has been appointed Heritage Engagement and Access Officer and Florence Medard is the new Communications Co-ordinator.

Jamie grew up in Connel and returned to the area after his graduation from the University of Stirling last year. He joined the team at Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds in January, but was not able to come on site until June. He has spent the last few months getting community volunteer groups back and has worked in partnership with the Furan Centre to make Coffee and Gaelic sessions accessible to everyone online.

Emma moved to Oban with her family last month, tackling what used to be
two people’s jobs. She has worked in the heritage sector since graduating from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2011. Her most recent post was community manager at Aldershot Military Museum. In just a few weeks, she has become
essential to the smooth running of the site.

Florence also moved to Oban last month, after her graduation from the University of Glasgow and the end of her internship with Archaeology Scotland. She is the new point of contact for all marketing and communications-related queries and can be contacted at florence@dunollie.org

Although half the team is new, they have all been working hard to get Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds back up and running. Tickets for activities and workshops can now be booked via the website www.dunollie.org.
