Men arrested at Ganavan
Police were called to a disturbance at 11.30pm on Friday July 23 at Ganavan Sands, Oban.
Two men, aged 36 and 31, were arrested at the scene and were subsequently charged with abusive behaviour and possession of an offensive weapon. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Teenagers facing drugs charges
Two teenagers were found in possession of cannabis in the early hours of Friday July 23 in Oban.
A 17-year-old male was stopped and searched by police and allegedly found in possession of cannabis about 1.30am on Friday July 23 in Soroba Road, Oban.
Half an hour later, on the same road, a 15-year-old male was stopped and searched by police and allegedly found in possession of cannabis.
Both were charged with the offence of possession of a controlled substance and referred to the Early & Effective Intervention scheme which deals with youth offending.
A 31-year-old man was arrested for allegedly behaving in an abusive manner at 7.30pm on Friday July 23 in Argyll Square, Oban.
The man was charged and issued with a recorded police warning.
Arrested after breath test
About 12.15am on Saturday July 24, on Market Street, Oban, a 41-year-old woman was found by police in a parked vehicle after it had been reported being driving erratically.
The woman allegedly provided a positive breath test and was arrested. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
