If you struggle to remember when to put your bins out, you can now call on Alexa to tell you.

Argyll and Bute Council has come up with an additional feature, for people who already use Alexa at home, that supports its online bin calendar.

It is part of the council’s commitment to delivering new useful digital services and means people can ask their smart device when their council bins will be collected.

Over the next year, other council-related information will be added.

To access the service you will need an Amazon account and a smartphone/tablet or an Amazon Alexa device.

In the Alexa App, click on the ‘browse skills’ button and search for Argyll and Bute Council. It should be the first result you see.

Or on the Amazon website sign in with your Amazon Account – https://www.amazon.co.uk/Argyll-and-Bute-Council/dp/B0943RNFP5/ref=sr_1_1.
