From today (Wednesday July 21) members of the public will be able to attend for PCR testing at Mull and Iona Fire Stations.
The testing, which is an expansion to the testing already in place at a number of stations across NHS Highland allowing the increase testing in remote and rural areas, is available by appointment for those with symptoms of Covid-19 or those who have been requested to get a test through our Health Protection team.
Each site will be available Monday to Friday, with Craignure Fire Station on Mull open between 9.30-10.30am, and Iona Fire Station is open between 8.30-9.30am.
People within driving or walking distance of these locations who have Covid symptoms will be able to book test slot at these stations by calling NHS Highland on 01463 706015.
If people drive to the site they can take the test themselves onsite and leave it for the fire service to forward on. Or people can collect a test kit for someone else and bring it back or post in the priority post box.
