Oban High School S1 Bulls v Sharks match was played in humid conditions with some fast paced action and both teams demonstrating a good off-loading and support style of play that they have been developing at training.

After a fairly evenly matched start a serious injury to Archie Johnston disrupted the Bulls and the Sharks took full advantage of the loss of their opponents talisman by racing into a four try lead.

Despite their loss the Bulls never gave up, but the Sharks were relentless. Making very few mistakes they finished the second period leading eight tries to one.

The Bulls came out for the final period determined to peg back the score and show that they could compete without one of their main players and they did this with Connor MacPhail at scrum half orchestrating strong driving play from Beinn Grey and Lewis Mckay resulting in three more tries.

The game finished 11-4 to the Sharks.

Try scorers for the Sharks were Hamish Macintyre (3); Joe Corns (3); Donald Mackormick (3); Euan Simm and Scott Murdoch.

Try scorers for Bulls: Louis Smyth; Beinn Grey; Ellis Campbell and Donald Mackormick.

Both teams displayed great spirit and sportsmanship and the standard of rugby on show bodes well for a successful 21/22 season.
