Fort William Football Club have appointed Danny MacKintosh, left, as club captain and Aidan Taylor vice captain.

The appointments came after former long-term player and captain John Treasurer departed for Nairn County. Fort manager Ashley Hollyer, centre, told the Lochaber  Times: ‘John has been a loyal Fort player and captain for many years, but felt it was time for him to move on.

‘The management team wish him all the best and welcome Danny and Aidan into their new roles, for which they are well suited. They are both strong, dedicated players, keen to do their best for the club and will set a good example to everyone in the team.’    Photograph: Iain Ferguson,
