Join Oban RNLI fundraisers for fortnightly pop-up shops along North Pier where they will be swapping knitted yellow wellies in return for a donation as well as selling the usual souvenirs.

Earlier this year fundraisers set a new world record for knitting the cute wellies, challenging other lifeboat station towns to try and beat them.

To help buoy up funds after lockdown, the hope is to exchange the knitted pairs of wellies for cash.

The pop-up shop, from 10am to 4pm this Saturday July 17, and then again on July 31, August 14 and August 28, will also have some Betty’s pots for people to take away and fill up with saved 5ps to bring back.
