Lochaber Rugby Football Club’s ‘S3 Bubble’ rounded off their year by celebrating their own endeavours – and those of their parents after a difficult season.

Youth convenor Stevie McAleer presented S3 player Zach Alexander with the 2020/21 Season Train Hard Award for his age group.

Stevie paid tribute to the boys in the ‘S3 Bubble’ for turning up week on week and noted Zach had been selected by his team-mates through an accumulation of points over the full course of the season.

Runners-up for the award were Callan Griffin and James Richmond.

A unique aspect of the S3 Bubble is that the majority of the team live outwith Fort William. The parents of Archie and Robbie Gray from Knoydart; Josh Seymour from Fort Augustus; J-J Blackley and Stuie MacLennan from Acharacle; Callan, James and Ruaraidh Fothergill from Mallaig and Zach from Ardgour all made big efforts to get their boys to as many of the 25 training sessions as possible.

Special mention to Callan’s and Ruaraidh’s parents who managed to get them in to every session.
