DEATHS
CASTLE – It is with great sadness that the family of Lorna announces her passing on June 18, 2021. Lorna leaves two daughters, Angela and Laura, son-in-law Chris and much loved grandson Harry. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
FINLAY – Peacefully at the Mid Argyll Hospital, on June 15, 2021, after an illness borne with great dignity and courage, Sheila McQueen Finlay, née Wyllie, in her 72nd year, of 7 Glengilp, Ardrishaig. Retired Home Economics Teacher. Beloved and loving wife of Robin Finlay; much loved and adored mum of Craig and Morven. A proud grandmother of Erin. Much respected mother-in-law of Heather and the late Tim (West). A private service of celebration will take place at Lochgilphead Bowling Club, today, Thursday, June 24, 2021, followed by a family service of committal at Woodside Crematorium on Friday, June 25, 2021. Family flowers only please. Donations can be made in memory of Sheila, directly to Macmillan Cancer Care or via Donald MacDonald Funeral Directors.
FOTHERINGHAM – (née Troup) Margaret. Passed away peacefully at Larchwood Care Home in Braintree on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Retired Nurse and Clinical Teacher formerly of Oban. Loving wife of the late Adam, beloved mother of John and Catriona and devoted grandmother of James and Alex. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Kilmore and Oban Church of Scotland at 10.30am, interment thereafter at Pennyfuir Cemetery to which all family and friends are welcome. MACALLISTER – Suddenly at home on June 15, 2021, aged 58 years, John MacAllister, much loved husband of Adrienne, loving dad of Lynsey and Scott, a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and son-in-law. Sorely missed.
MACQUARRIE LYALL – Gordon, suddenly on June 16, 2021, after a short illness borne with dignity in his 83rd year. A much loved brother, uncle and friend who will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Private funeral service.
McGHEE – Peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on June 15, 2021, aged 64, George McGhee beloved husband of Katie, much loved dad, granddad, brother and uncle. May he Rest In Peace.
