Missing hiker’s family informed after body found during searches on Ben Nevis

The body of a woman has been found during searches on Ben Nevis, it has been confirmed by police this evening.
She is yet to be formally identified, however, the family of hiker Sarah Buick, 24, from Dundee, who was reported missing in the area on Tuesday of this week, has been informed.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.

Ms Buick, an experienced walker, reached the summit of Ben Nevis around 5am on Tuesday.

However, she had not been seen or heard from since and concern grew for her welfare.
