NEISH – Siobhan and Ruaraidh are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their baby son, Teddy Macgregor William Neish. Teddy arrived on June 7, 2021 at Oban Maternity Unit. A wee brother to Colbie, Murphy and Honey. Loved by all grandparents.
CLARK – Peacefully, at Peacock Nursing Home, Livingston, on Friday, June 11, 2021, Peter, aged 75 years, father and father in-law of Scott and Fiona. Grandad of Dean and Robyn. Funeral arrangement to be private due to current restrictions.
CLARKE – It is with great sadness that the family of Mr William Bonar Clarke announces his passing at the age of 69 years old. Bill passed away peacefully in his own home in Kilchrenan and is lovingly remembered by his wife and friend of thirty eight years, Sarah, their two children Robert and Rowan, his cherished grandchildren Magnus and Róisín, and younger sister June. Bill was a graduate of Mathematics from Glasgow University and went on to work at Oban High School before becoming a successful self-employed businessman working for Everest. Later in life he started his own local company Cruachan Creative. Bill was a lover of live music, travelling and hill walking and was often planning his next adventure. His zest for life will be missed by many. The funeral service is yet to be arranged.
DOUGLAS – (Gartly/Lochaline). Peacefully at home with his loving wife on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, David, aged 78 years, beloved husband of Margaret, a dear father, step-father, brother and friend to many. Due to current restrictions David’s funeral will be private.
MACINNES – Peacefully at her home in Barra, on June 9, 2021, aged 77 years, Rhoda, beloved wife of the late Donald MacInnes, much loved mum to Ian, Alasdair and the late Nonny, a devoted granny and great-granny, a dear sister and aunt. Sorely missed by all who knew her.
WILSON – Margaret, beloved wife of the late John and much loved mum of Kerry, Rhys, Glenn and Jamie. Passed away peacefully in the Belford Hospital, Fort William on Friday, June 11, 2021, age 73 years. Funeral service will be held at the Leven Centre, Kinlochleven on Monday, June 21 at 2.00pm thereafter Kinlochmore Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Lochaber Macmillan Nurses.
RICHARDSON – Joyce Elizabeth MB, ChB, DCH, FRCP (Ed). After prolonged illness, Joyce died peacefully on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Colinton Care Home, Edinburgh in her 89th year. Devoted daughter to James and Mary Richardson, loved and supportive sister of Neil, sister-in-law of Hazel, aunt of Gavin, Shona, Jennifer and Kirsteen and great aunt of Kira, Finlay, Ewan, Xavier and Alexa. Retired Consultant Paediatrician at The Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow and the Vale of Leven Hospital, Alexandria. Regrettably due to Covid restrictions, funeral private by invitation at Mortonhall Crematorium, Edinburgh on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 3pm, details of live video streaming available from William Purves Funeral Directors on 0131 447 5858. No flowers please but donations may be made to Parkinson’s UK.
BLAKE – Ann, George and family of the late Ian Blake would like to thank all family, friends and neighbours for the many kind expressions of sympathy, through flowers, cards, and messages of support following the sad loss of Ian. Thank you to all who attended the funeral at the church and graveside, also the people who stood at the roadside. A special thank you to the carers, the Medical Centre, the Belford Hospital and the Isles of Glencoe for the catering.
CAMPBELL – Mairi’s family are overwhelmed by all the expressions of sympathy from family and friends with flowers, cards, visits and texts. It was so kind to think of us all on Mairi’s passing. Thank you to Rev Dugald Cameron for a service of friendship and personal tributes. Ken Moncreiff for playing the organ and accompanying Janice who sang a special wish of Mairi’s. Thanks to Catriona and James at Hamish Hoey and Son for compassion and professionalism. Special thanks to Etive House and their team for the exceptional care given to Mairi. All the beautiful floral tributes. Our heartfelt thanks to Oban for friends lining the streets to pay respects for Mairi’s final journey to Pennyfuir Cemetery. GRAY – William Alexander Gray (Bill). The family of the late Bill Gray wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many kind messages of sympathy and support expressed to them through cards, phone calls, letters and flowers. Thank you also to Rev. Dugald Cameron for arranging a church service which was so relevant to Bill’s life and to Ian MacInnes of D&A Munn for his caring, compassionate and professional funeral arrangements. A special thank you also to all those who stood in the street and at the bowling club to honour Bill’s passing and to Ward I at Lorn and Islands Hospital and the Lorn Medical Centre for their care and kindness to Bill in what turned out to be his last days.
REFFIN – The family of Joey Reffin would like to thank everyone for flowers, cards and telephone calls on their recent loss of their mum, granny and great-granny. Thanks also to Fr.
