Speeding motorist

About 12.20pm on Monday June 7 at the A85 near Arrivain, a motorist was stopped for allegedly exceeding the speed limit. The driver, a 57-year-old man, was charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Bail breach
  • About 11.25pm on Monday June 7 at Ganavan Road, Oban, a man aged 56, allegedly breached bail conditions imposed by the court by contacting a woman. The man was arrested and held for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
  • About 11.30pm on Monday June 7 at Ganavan Road, Oban, a 55-year-old woman  allegedly breached bail conditions imposed by the court by contacting a man. The woman was arrested and held for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Theft

Between Saturday 1st and Monday 31st May at the building site, Dunbeg near Oban, a Stihl Saw was stolen from within the compound. Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Assault

About 4.30pm on Friday June 11 at Glencruitten Drive, Oban, a woman aged 46, allegedly assaulted a man. She was arrested and charged, and a report was sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Investigation

About 8.30pn on Monday June 7 at the A85, Dunbeg, a Silver Mercedes A Class car was allegedly seen to be driven in a dangerous manner while overtaking other vehicles. Police are investigating.

Careless driving allegation

About 11am on Wednesday June 9 at Soroba Road, Oban, a red Mitsubishi L200 was allegedly seen to be driven in a careless manner at the pedestrian crossing. Police are investigating.

Vandalism

Between Midnight on Monday May 31 and midday on Sunday June 6, at Main Street, Bowmore, two hand sanitiser dispensers were damaged at two different bus stops. Police are investigating.

Road rage

Around 4.30pm on Friday June 11 on the A846 by Bunnahbain Distillery the passengers of a white vehicle allegedly assaulted the driver of another vehicle following a disagreement. Police are investigating.
