The Camanachd Association has launched a new website.
The website, which was grant funded by the Digital Boost Fund, is a vast improvement from the old shinty.com.
It includes The Club Hub where each shinty club has a presence on shinty.com. Volunteers from each club will be able to update their information, including adding match reports, fundraising activities and more meaning information from every club can be housed in a central location.
Aarron Duncan-MacLeod, Camanachd Association marketing and communications officer, said: ‘I couldn’t be happier with the final product. It is testament to the commitment and effort of Lateral North which have worked incredibly hard on this project to deliver a shinty.com we can all be proud of. My thanks also go to communications directors John Finlayson and Roddie McCuish for their support throughout. I look forward to working with the clubs to get them trained up on how to upload their news onto shinty.com so that they are able to showcase the amazing work that is going on the length and breadth of the country.’
Andy Behan, of Lateral North, said: ‘It has been a real pleasure working with the Camanachd Association to develop a website which celebrates the rich heritage of its clubs. We believe the website can be a great resource and sharing platform for these clubs whilst continuing to be a crucial hub of practical information on the sport.’
