DEATHS
BROWN – John Caldwell, peacefully on May 20, 2021 in his 74th year after a short illness, at a hospice in his home in Portsmouth, surrounded by his family. Beloved son of the late Peggy and Archie Brown and much loved brother of Archie, Margaret and the late Beth and Linda. Will be sorely missed.

CAMPBELL – Peacefully in the excellent care of Etive House Care Home, on Monday May 24, 2021, in her 84th year, Mairi Juliana née Ollason, beloved wife of the late Hector Campbell, loving mother of Linda and Nicola and mother-in-law to Kenny and Cameron, dearly loved granny to Scott, Rachael and Anna and great granny to Imogen, Connie, Innes and Ruraidh, a dear sister to James and Fiona. Sadly missed by all who knew her.

CRAWFORD – Ile Crawford (née Weir), peacefully at home, at Blarghour Farm, Lochaweside on May 24, 2021, aged 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Ernie, loving Mum to Catriona, Isobel and Elspeth, Granny to Finlay and Innes and sister to the late Lexa MacCallum, Willie Weir and Mary Forgrieve. A graveside service will be held at Glenorchy Parish Church, Dalmally on Monday, May 31 (in line with Covid restrictions).

MUNRO – Helen Ritchie née McKechnie. Beloved wife of the late William and mum of William, Kenneth and Gordon. Mother-in-law to Rhona, Christine and Fiona. Gran to Alison, Alasdair, Niall, Stuart, Cameron and Fraser. Friend to many. Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following a short illness on May 18, 2021 at the age of 89. The private funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 2 at Clydebank Crematorium at 1.30 pm. The service will be streamed on www.westreamitfunerals.co.uk/munroh Family flowers only. PERN – Peacefully at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness on May 16, 2021, Christine Anne Pern, aged 85 years, Ardersier, dear sister of Peter and sister-in-law of Margaret, also a much loved aunt of Sarah and the late Angus Peter. Funeral service private in Ardersier Church; thereafter to Cromarty Wester Cemetery. No flowers please. Donations if desired in memory of Christine may be made to a charity of one’s own choice. The cortege will leave the church at around 12.45pm on Thursday, May 27, 2021 for those wishing to pay their respects. Arrangements by D. Chisholm & Sons.
ROSS – Thomas (Tommy). Suddenly at home on Friday, May 21, 2021, with Lesley by his side, loving husband, stepdad and grandpa, missed by all. Funeral will take place at 1.00pm, Friday, May 28 at Appin Cemetery, family flowers only.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
FRENCH – Gladys, Yvonne and Garry would like to express their sincere thanks to all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kindness, lovely cards, flowers and continued support, following the sad loss of Stuart.Thanks also to those who lined the route to the cemetery and to those who attended the graveside service. Special thanks to Donna, Sandra, Gillian and Claire of the Macmillan Day Bed Unit at the Lorn and Islands hospital, Oban for their care of Stuart over the last five years, to Ward I in his final days and to Dalmally Surgery. Thanks also to Ian at D&A Munn Funeral Directors for the manner in which he dealt with all aspects of the arrangements and to Rev Margaret Miller for her lovely service.

MACDONALD – Donald, Kay, Betty and Ivor and their families would like to thank all relatives and friends for all the kindness shown to them, the numerous lovely cards, expressions of sympathy and phone calls following the sudden sad loss of Peter. Special thanks to Ian of D&A Munn for the care, compassion and professionalism above and beyond. Thanks to all who paid their respects at the Parish Church and lined the road and at the graveside. Thank you to Dugald Cameron for a very moving service. Also to Petals for the lovely floral arrangements. Special thanks to cousin Peter for the beautiful music and to Colin, Joan and staff at the Olive Garden for a lovely meal.

MACKINNON – The family of the late Donalda MacKinnon would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many kind expressions of sympathy, flowers, phone calls and messages of support received following the recent sad loss of Alda. We were touched to see so many old friends from Mull who made the journey to Kirkpatrick to say farewell. Thank you. Special thanks to Reverent Beaton for his personal and uplifting service at Kilpatrick, to Ian MacInnes of D&A Munn, for their help and professionalism and to the staff of the Craignure Inn for their hospitality after the service. We will be eternally grateful to Oban, Lorn and Islands Hospital for the great care and compassion shown to Alda in her final weeks and to the carers who attended her in the last year and to Lenka for all her kindness over many years to Alda.

STEWART – (Kingussie, formerly North Connel). Peter and Lorna Grant would like to thank those who joined us to pay our respects to Anne at Laggan church and graveside. Special thanks to Rev Catherine Buchan for her thoughtful words and lovely service. Thank you to ward 7A Raigmore Hospital for their kind and compassionate care and to friends, neighbours and carers who supported Anne and enabled her to live independently at home as was her wish, especially to Marie and Rhonna from Angel services and to Highland Home Carers. Thank you also to Elaine McLauchlan for flowers and to Susan Thompson and everyone at John Ross Funeral Services for their exceptional guidance and professionalism in ensuring everything was just as Anne requested.
