The Rockfield Centre opens its doors to the public tomorrow, Friday May 21, for a peek at what is to come.
There will be guided tours sessions from 1-3pm and 4-6pm, led by the newly renovated centre’s team and board members who are excited to show it off.
Rockfield’s transition manager Eleanor MacKinnon said: ‘Following feedback from polling station use last week we want to give everyone in our community the opportunity to look around the newly refurbished main building. It is after all a building belonging to the community and we have tried to keep everyone informed throughout our transformation journey.
‘While there is still work to do, we want to let as many people as possible see round the building as we begin the process of opening slowly and safely. It is a hugely exciting time and this will present a glimpse of the future.’
Anyone wanting to go on a tour should arrive via the Rockfield Brae entrance off Stevenson Street – look out for the bunting from Rockfield tree area. A one way
system will be operated for entry and exit to the building. Masks and social distancing inside the building is a must unless you are exempt. Staff and volunteers will be there to help.
After the tours, there will be a chance to give views and make comments to the Rockfield team out on the veranda area.
