CALVERT – F. Raymond on April 28, 2021 in his 96th year at a nursing home in Kendal. Formerly G.P. on Tiree. Loving husband to Margaret and the late Betty. Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather to the family.
CAMPBELL – Peacefully at Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban on April 30, 2021, aged 58 years, Moyra née McMonagle, beloved wife of Stuart Campbell, much loved mum of Donna and Steven, devoted granny to Reece, Ryan and Blake, a dear sister, sister-in-law, aunty and friend to many. Missed by all who knew her.
CHISHOLM – Peacefully at home on April 29, 2021, aged 90, Donald Alexander Chisholm, beloved husband of the late Rosemary, dearly loved dad of Neil and Lorn and father-in-law of Marie, a dear brother, uncle and friend to many. Sorely missed. A small family service will take place at Cardross Crematorium in line with current restrictions. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers should be made, in memory of Donald to Macmillan Cancer Support, if desired.
JACKSON – Ian. Suddenly but peacefully at home in North Ardnaclach Farm, Appin, aged 83 years. Beloved husband of Isobel, Dad to Ian, Caroline and Brian, father-in-law to John and Claire, much loved Grandpa/Papa to Nigel, Chloe, Abigail, Innes and Erin and Great-Grandpa to Jessica, Nathan and Ellie. MACKINNON – Peacefully at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow on May 1, 2021, aged 75, Iain MacKinnon, Achadhbeag, Tobermory. Beloved son of the late Duncan and Netta, much loved husband of Ishbel and a loving father to Rhoda and Kirsty. MACPHAIL – Peacefully at his home, with his family by his side, after an illness borne bravely, Donald Dugald MacPhail, aged 68 years, of Achanduin, Ardfern. Construction Manager, formerly of the Cayman Islands and Strachur. Beloved and much loved Dad of Karen, Shelly and Jill, much respected father-in-law of Tom; and dearly loved Grandpa of Amelia and Olivia. A dear brother of Alex, Ann and the late John. A private family funeral will be held at Kilvaree Cemetery, Ardfern, on Friday, May 7, 2021. For those wishing to pay their respects, the funeral cortege will pass through Ardfern Village at approximately 11.30am on-route to Kilvaree. Funeral attire optional. NICHOLSON – Lucy Jane Nicholson (née Heenan), aged 48 years of Canonbie and formerly of Achnacreebeg, North Connel, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on April 30, 2021. She is with Christ for all of Eternity.
STRATHIE – Suddenly, on April 8, 2021, at Mid Argyll Hospital, Marion (Myra) Strathie née Currie, in her 80th year. Beloved wife, for nearly 50 years, of Jim, loving Mum of Andrew and Elaine, dear mother-in-law to Gillian and Gavin, adored Granny of Euan and Ailiedh, loving and caring Auntie of Flora Ann. Dear friend, neighbour and Auntie Myra to many. A private funeral will take place at Ardrishaig Parish Church on Monday, May 10, 2021. Family flowers only please. For those wishing to pay their respects, the funeral cortège will leave Ardrishaig Parish Church approximately 11.30am, travelling through Chalmers Street, to Lochgilphead, up Argyll Street, along Bishopton Road, on route to Achnabreac Cemetery.
THOM – Peacefully at Abbeyfield Nursing Home on Monday, May 3, 2021, Maria Thom, aged 86 years. Devoted wife of the late Derick (Roddy), loving mum and nana of Maureen and Alistair, and a much-loved aunt of Agnes.
CLARK – Helen and family would sincerely like to thank friends, relatives and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy following the sad passing of Sandy. Special thanks to Dr Harris, Colette, Emma and Gillian for their support throughout. McMONAGLE – The family of the late Phil McMonagle would like to thank relatives, friends and neighbours for all their kindness and messages of sympathy.
