Organisers have cancelled this year’s Lorn Show.

The popular show was set for Saturday August 7 at Tralee Beach, Benderloch, but ongoing concerns over Covid and the resulting restrictions brought plans to a stop, organisers announced this week.

Fiona Dickie, Secretary of Lorn Agricultural Society, said: ‘After much deliberation the committee have taken the decision to cancel the 2021 show.

‘The main concern was the social distance aspect and how it would have been monitored.’

However, the committee has pencilled in a new date for next year – Saturday August 2022.
