At the start of the pandemic in March we took the decision to make online access to our news free of charge by taking down our paywall. At a time where accurate information about Covid-19 was vital to our community, this was the right decision – even though it meant a drop in our income. In order to help safeguard the future of our journalism, the time has now come to reinstate our paywall, However, rest assured that access to all Covid related news will still remain free.
To access all other news will require a subscription, as it did pre-pandemic. The good news is that for the whole of December we will be running a special discounted offer to get 3 months access for the price of one month. Thank you for supporting us during this incredibly challenging time.
We value our content and access to our full site is only available with a subscription. Your subscription entitles you to 7-day-a-week access to our website, plus a full digital copy of that week’s paper to read on your pc/mac or mobile device. In addition, your subscription includes access to digital archive copies from 2006 onwards.
Just want to read one issue? No problem you can subscribe for just one week (or longer if you wish).
These are exciting times – and there’s a sense of possibility and reawakening that is very spring-like (despite the snow!).
This week more customer-facing businesses have been allowed to open. The wild lockdown hairdos many of us are sporting may be tamed as hairdressers start up, and some non-essential businesses, such as garden centres and hardware shops, reopen this week.
It can be confusing to know what can open, when and what the regulations are. How many of us have inadvertently flouted the guidelines by not being up to date with current rules? As an individual, it can be hard to keep up, but for a business it’s much more complicated…and crucial to get it right.
The Scottish Chamber Network is rooted in communities right across Scotland, providing practical advice and support to companies through our unrivalled expert leadership, business-to-business connections, mentoring and coaching, business support services and international trade support.
Lochaber Chamber works hard for all our members, across the many different sectors, helping to make sense of the rules, signposting help, lobbying decision-makers to make sure the voices of our businesses are heard, and offering support and guidance to make sure they can operate and thrive in the safest and best ways possible. We’ve seen so much innovation and adaptation among our members over the last year, and we’ve been proud to help support them in their efforts.
As we move into the next phase on April 26, Lochaber Chamber is working hard to help make sure our businesses have everything they need to operate effectively and safely.
Our website’s Covid hub has a round-up of all the current guidance and access to funding, and we’re always on hand to offer personal assistance with business issues. As a Lochaber Chamber member, you’re part of a strong network across Scotland. We’ve also got a host of great events coming up to support members.
