Amid the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic and given current advice and restrictions, the 2021 Eilean Dorcha Festival has been cancelled.

Despite giving it their best shot organisers felt they could not continue with plans with any certainty, and were are unable to guarantee the safety of artists, performers, supporters, volunteers, attendees and the wider community.

An EDF spokesperson said: We understand the disappointment and frustration that comes with reading this as we share and feel it too.’

The next EDF Festival will now provisionally take place on July 29 and 30, 2022.

‘Rest assured we eagerly await the opportunity to safely produce what will be a most memorable EDF to celebrate our fifth birthday in 2022,’ added the spokesperson.

‘We miss you tremendously and can’t wait to reunite in the tent to create some more unforgettable memories with you.’

Current ticket holders will receive an email in due course with details of how to claim a refund on tickets or keep them and guarantee a place at EDF 2022 at 2019 prices.
