New head teacher for Invergarry and Spean Bridge cluster

Highland Council has announced the appointment of the new cluster head teacher at Invergarry and Spean Bridge Primary Schools.

Current acting head Emily Brown will take up the position when schools return in the new year.

Emily was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Primary Education from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Arts from Pacific University in Oregon, USA. She was seconded to the role of Primary Science Development Officer for the RAiSE programme in The Highland Council and previously worked in the cluster as the Principal Teacher (Curriculum) for Spean Bridge Primary.

Chairman of the Education Committee, Councillor John Finlayson said: ‘I would like to welcome and congratulate Emily on her new role.

‘She will bring a wealth of experience to their school communities and I look forward to working with her in the New Year.’
