At the start of the pandemic in March we took the decision to make online access to our news free of charge by taking down our paywall. At a time where accurate information about Covid-19 was vital to our community, this was the right decision – even though it meant a drop in our income. In order to help safeguard the future of our journalism, the time has now come to reinstate our paywall, However, rest assured that access to all Covid related news will still remain free.

MACEWAN – Peacefully at Etive Care home on December 20, 2020 Peterina MacEwan (Rina) beloved wife of the late Alex MacEwan and the late Tony Pew. Much loved mother of Rosemary, Audrey, Carolyn, and stepmother to Rae and the late Sandy. Cherished Granny and Great Granny. Funeral and cortege arrangements will be displayed by window cards.
BUCHANAN – Ann and family would like to thank family and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy following their sad loss of Archie. Many thanks to those who paid their respects by lining Archie’s final route to Achnaba Cemetery. Special thanks to Rev Willem Bezuidenhout for his visits, graveside message and support. MACLEAN – Margaret and the family of the late Ian MacLean would like to thank all family, friends, former colleagues and neighbours, near and far for all their support at this very sad time.
