A four-week major surfacing resurfacing project on three sections of the A85 and one section of the A828 will now not be completed until mid-December, BEAR Scotland has said.

The £685,000 project to improve the road surface had been due to start on Monday November 16 and finish on December 15, but heavy rainfall in recent weeks led to the works being postponed.

BEAR Scotland has now released the updated programme which is as follows:

A85 west of Saulmore have started and will last until Sunday December 13, or a total of 12 nights, excluding Friday and Saturday nights. A 10mph convoy system will be in place between 8pm and 6am each night.

A85 Pass of Brander will start on Tuesday December 8 until Monday December 15, or a total of five day excluding Saturday and Sunday. A 10mph convoy system will be in place between 7am and 6pm each day.

A828 south of Ledaig will start on Tuesday December 15 to Wednesday December 16, or two days. A 10mph convoy system will be in place between 7am and 6pm each day.

A85 east of Connel will start Tuesday December 15 to Wednesday December 16, or two days. A 10mph convoy system will be in place between 7am and 6pm each day.
