About 7.15pm on November 3, on the A816 about a mile south of Oban, a car allegedly collided with a parked car causing minor damage. Police attended and a woman aged 61 was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. Subsequently a blood sample was taken for analysis.


About 5.20pm on November 4, on the A828 near Benderloch, a collision occurred between a Fiat 500 and a Skoda Yeti. Subsequently a 32-year-old man was charged with alleged careless driving and driving without insurance. Only minor injuries were sustained as a result of the collision and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Recorded Police Warning

About 9.30pm on November 5, in Columba Court, Oban, a woman, 48, was arrested for behaving in an abusive manner. The woman was charged and issued with a Recorded Police Warning.

Car damaged

Between 8.30pm on November 5 and 10am on November 6, at Shuna Terrace, Oban, a grey Nissan X-Trail car was damaged by having the front passenger door scratched. Police are investigating.

Abusive behaviour

About 12.05am on November 7, in Miller Road, Oban, a man, 23, was arrested for behaving in an abusive manner. The man was charged and issued with a Recorded Police Warning.


About 1.10pm on November 8, in Stranraer Road, Oban, a 24-year-old woman allegedly assaulted another woman. Subsequently, she was charged with the offence and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Bicycle stolen

Between October 8 and November 8, a dark blue Raleigh Randonneur bicycle was stolen from a communal garden area at the rear of 51 Combie Street, Oban. Police are investigating.


About 11.05pm on November 8, in Glenfoot Terrace, Oban, a man, 20, was searched by police and allegedly found in possession of a small amount of cannabis. The man was charged and a report sent to the fiscal.

Attempted break-in

About 9.50pm on November 7, in Ledaig, Oban, three men were disturbed trying to break into a wooden shed. They ran off and nothing was stolen.
