November 2020 will see the second cohort of our One Lochaber leadership development programme begin their year-long course, launched specifically for Lochaber businesses and locally delivered in partnership with top leadership consultants Ethos Consulting.
The aim of the programme is to give businesses the capability to lead through uncertain times, helping to ensure they are able to set and achieve challenging goals, to have the ability to take decisive action at pace and, most importantly, out-perform the competition by creating an environment that inspires all of their people to perform at the highest level.
There’s never been a more important time for good leadership. We all know people are the most important asset in any company and One Lochaber offers a locally-based opportunity to develop your staff with first-rate leadership training.
It’s not easy to know how to handle forming teams, setting goals and getting results, while managing people with different approaches, but it’s the number one thing leaders have to do.
The One Lochaber course aims to develop the skills of current staff who are new to leading teams, to help companies to invest in their people and encourage members of their teams to have the confidence to step up to more senior roles.
The course is hands-on, informal and full of practical applications, resulting in the delegates being awarded a highly respected Level 5 management qualification from the Chartered Management Institute.
Designed to fit around your work commitments, the One Lochaber course is currently delivered via Zoom meetings, with regular access and assistance from course leaders at Ethos Consulting. They are always on hand to help with assignments and registration on the course also gives delegates access to the Chartered Management Institute’s huge library of management resources. The work is interesting and relevant, with immediate benefits to working life.
One Lochaber equips managers with the confidence and skills to take on leadership challenges in a way that brings the staff team with them, creating a more productive and happier work environment for everyone involved.
This year’s cohort are nearing the end of their course and one member of the group said last week: ‘It’s the best course I’ve ever been on.’
Taking the next step in developing our ongoing leadership programme, we are delighted to be launching a One Lochaber mentorship programme to share the knowledge, experience and skills in Lochaber with those looking for professional development and guidance in their careers.
