Killin’s war memorial committee has received funding to help pay for its upkeep.

As part of The Grand Lodge of Scotland’s Covid Challenge, each Province in Scotland received £2,000 which The Provincial Grand Lodge of Perthshire West matched and distributed equally to groups nominated by the 13 lodges in the province.

Lodge Breadalbane St Fillans No. 815 in Killin’s nominated group was the War Memorial Committee in Killin.

The group was set up to restore and maintain Killin’s unique war memorial.

Lodge 815 is keen to support this project as many of the soldiers named on the plaques were freemasons.
