A serious crash has shut the A82  in both directions near Crianlarich.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ‘Around 3.50am officers were called to the A82 approximately one mile south of Crianlarich, following a crash involving a car and a lorry.

‘The road is currently closed and emergency services remain at the scene. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.’

The road will stay closed until further notice for collision investigation to take place.

Traffic Scotland is advising  50 mile diversion routes for north and southbound motorists taking in Tarbet, Inveraray and Tyndrum.
