Lochaber Marie Curie fundraising group has set up Facebook page to share its plans, advertise events then enjoy seeing photographs of the events afterwards.
Latest news includes details of another afternoon tea following the successful event in June which raised £1,700.
‘We had a delivered afternoon tea in June which raised nearly £1,700 and was,’ said the group’s Joan MacKintosh, ‘a welcome ray of sunshine for so many people as they emerged from lockdown.’
And she added: ‘It was so popular we’ve decided to have another Blooming Great Tea Party at Home on October 31. This time, we’re also going to do goody bags/boxes for children.
‘It will be slightly themed to Hallowe’en but will again be filled with delicious handmade treats to share with family and friends and by taking part people will be supporting Marie Curie locally. More details will be on the page in the next week or two.
‘We have another couple of great ideas in the pipeline and look forward to sharing them on the Facebook page. The page is on Facebook as Lochaber Marie Curie Fundraising Group and everyone is welcome to like and follow us.’
