One Dunbeg woman was celebrating this week after being nominated as a Local Hero by her community.
Oilfast was offering 500 litres of kerosene heating oil to each Local Hero winner for supporting their communities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sandra Robinson was nominated by her community as their local hero for working long hours in a local hospital laboratory during the pandemic. Sandra, pregnant with her second child, has taken the time between shifts at the hospital laboratory to deliver shopping and essential supplies to her family and elderly friends.
Oilfast asked people to nominate their local hero as part of a campaign aimed at recognising and rewarding the efforts of both key workers and everyday members of the public, who have supported their local communities during the coronavirus outbreak.
Sandra is one of eight Local Hero winners who received the free heating oil from Oilfast, as a thank you for the efforts and contributions made to their communities.
