About 8.30pm on Monday July 13, police searched a flat at Colonsay Terrace, Oban. A man, aged 28, was allegedly found to be in possession of cannabis, he was charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Between midday on Friday June 26 and 1.45pm on Tuesday July 14 at Connel Village, Connel, an attempted housebreaking occurred at a property whereby the external door frame was damaged. No entry was gained and nothing was stolen. Police are investigating.
Between 6.30pm on Monday July 13 and 10am on Tuesday July 14, at Loch Tralaig, Kilmelford, the ropes to a boat and raft were cut. Police are investigating.
Possession of drugs
About 1pm on Saturday July 18 at Ledaig, near Oban, a 40-year-old man was found to be in possession of cannabis, he was charged and issued with a Recorded Police Warning.
About 10.15am on Wednesday July 15, at George Street, Oban, a woman, 39, allegedly behaved in a disorderly manner, continued when arrested and assaulted a police officer. The woman was later cautioned and charged with the offences and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
About 10.30pm on Saturday July 18 at Craigard Road, Oban, a 61-year-old man behaved in an abusive manner. The man was arrested and charged and issued with a Recorded Police Warning.
About 9.30pm on Wednesday July 15 at Main Street, Bowmore, Isle of Islay, police stopped a motor vehicle and the driver, a man aged 20, was found to have allegedly driven the vehicle without a valid licence or insurance. The man was charged with the offences and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
About 4pm on Sunday May 24 on the A846 near to Ballygrant, Isle of Islay, a collision occurred between a motor vehicle and a cyclist. The cyclist was injured as a result of the collision. Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle, an 80-year-old man was traced and is now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged careless driving.
