DEATHS
FLEMING – Robert (Robin) CBE DL of Black Mount, Argyll, died peacefully at home on June 26, 2020, aged 87. Adored husband of Vicky, much loved father and grandfather to Joanna, Philip, Rory and his seven grandchildren. Private funeral, immediate family only.
MACEACHEN – Peacefully at home, after a long illness borne bravely and with dignity, and surrounded by his family, on Saturday, June 27, 2020, in his 64th year. Son of the late Betty and Ewen, brother of Iain, cherished husband of Jean, beloved dad of Jacqueline and Andrew and proud papa of Callan and Jamie. A private burial will take place in accordance with current restrictions, and a memorial service will be held when we can all be together again.
THOMSON – Peacefully, while in the tender care of Cornhill Macmillan, Perth, on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Sandy, of Wester Kincardine, Crieff, contract plant operator, dearly beloved partner of Linda, devoted stepdad, special grampa of Ellie, Jessica and Ella, sadly missed cousin of Mary and Jane, best pal of Mike and true friend to all who knew him. Donations, if so desired, in aid of Cornhill Macmillan Cancer Support, online via www.macmillan.org.uk. Funeral service private in accordance with guidance on public gatherings.
TINDALL – Peacefully, in the wonderful care of Eadar Glinn, on Friday, June 26, 2020, aged 85 years, Maurice Allan, 12 Croft Avenue, Oban, beloved husband of Mary, dearly loved dad of Maureen and David, father-in-law of Fiona and cherished papa to Abigail and Lewis. A private funeral took place in accordance with current restrictions. A remembrance service will take place when restrictions allow.

ALEXANDER – June’s family would like to thank everyone for messages, cards, flowers and all who paid their respects during her final journey through town and at Pennyfuir Cemetery. Our thanks to Rev. Stuart Lawson for comforting and compassionate graveside service and Hamish Hoey & Son for their respectful handling of funeral arrangements.
CAMPBELL – The family of Mary Kate Campbell would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many expressions of sympathy, flowers, cards and phone calls following the loss of our beloved mum. We would also like to express our appreciation to everyone who paid their respects at the roadside in Eriskay, Uist and Oban. Thank you to Neil MacIntyre, South Uist and Hamish Hoey in Oban for their caring and efficient service. A special thank you to Fr Ross in Eriskay and Fr James in Oban for the comforting words and services. Thank you to Petals for the beautiful flowers and to Gavin MacMillan for his brilliant piping. Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at Sacred Heart House, South Uist for looking after our mum so well for her last few months.
