Possible bail breach

About 10pm on June 21, in a house at Glen Road, Bridgend, Isle of Islay, a man, 22, allegedly breached bail curfew conditions imposed by the court by being outwith his address overnight. Police arrested and charged the man who was held for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Careless Driving

About 6pm on June 21, on the A828 near to Appin, a white coloured Ford Ranger motor car was allegedly seen to be driven in a careless manner while overtaking other vehicles and exceeding the speed limit. The car was stopped by police and the 20-year-old male driver was charged with the offence and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Charged

At about 9pm on June 22, police were alerted to an intruder within commercial premises at Sinclair Drive, Oban. Police attended and arrested a man, 37, for allegedly breaking into the premises. The man was charged with the offence and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Road traffic offences

At about 8.30pm on June 24, near to Soroba Park Terrace, Oban, a 70-year-old man  allegedly allowed another man to drive his motor vehicle while not insured. The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man allegedly drove without insurance and without displaying L Plates. Both men were charged with the offences and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Speeding allegation

About 11am on June 25, on the A85 at Taynuilt, a motorist was stopped for allegedly exceeding the speed limit. The driver, a man aged 61, was charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Arrested

About 2pm on June 21 at Bon Awe, North Connel, a 55-year-old man allegedly stole a quantity of gravel from the quarry. Police arrested the man who was subsequently cautioned and charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Drugs 

About 4pm on June 25 at Corran Esplanade, Oban, a man, aged 21, was stopped and searched by police and allegedly found in possession of a small amount of cannabis. The man was charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Insurance

At about midday on June 27, near to Melfort Gardens, Kilmelford, a 24-year-old man allegedly allowed another man to drive his motor vehicle while not insured. The 23-year-old male driver allegedly drove without insurance. Both men were charged with the offences and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Report submitted

About 7pm on June 27, at Glengallan Road, Oban, a 40-year-old man allegedly breached his bail curfew conditions imposed by the court by being outwith his address overnight. Police arrested and charged the man and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

House searched

About 6pm on June 28, in a house at Rhuvaal Road, Oban, was searched by police. A man, 39, was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis. The man was charged and issued with a Recordable Police Warning.

Sheep injured

Between midday on June 13 and 3pm on June 22 in a field near to Achleck Road, Torloisk, Isle of Mull, a dog is believed to have attacked lambs. Police are investigating.
